The topic of cross-chain continues to haunt the minds. Will there be a clear leader in cross-chain solutions in the cryptocurrency market or will a powerful interaction infrastructure be built? We will see soon, this year the Cosmos ecosystem shows a remarkable pace of development. Blockchain internet protocol and highly scalable, fault-tolerant POS are doing their job and attracting developers to the ecosystem. And today’s hero is Sei Network, which includes these developments and its upgrades and adaptations for the uniqueness of its L1 solution.

The project is at a super early stage of development. According to information from separate sources, work on the project code is carried out by Jacob Gadikian / Dylan Schultz / Joseph Chalabi. And this speaks of the cohesion of the Cosmos ecosystem community.

The popularity of the Cosmos ecosystem is growing every day. Sei Network is an L1 blockchain with a built-in order book that allows smart contracts to access shared liquidity easily. The Sei architecture allows you to create composable applications that support modularity.

Sei Network serves as the respective core of the ecosystem, offering superior reliability and ultra-fast transaction speeds to ecosystem partners, each with its features and user experience. Anyone can create a DeFi application that leverages Sei’s liquidity and the benefits of the entire ecosystem.

Developers, traders, and users can connect to Sei as ecosystem partners, benefiting from shared liquidity and decentralized financial primitives. So — we are partners, developers, and users. Web3 and its benefits in action!

Community

Sei Network is well aware of the fundamental importance of the community for the development of the project; therefore, recruitment for the project’s ambassadors is open. A paid Seinami testnet has also been launched. To get into the program of the project Ambassadors, you will have to hurry up and fill out the form, because admission closes on August 18–19. The testnet, on the other hand, will last 2 months (but this is not accurate). 1% of the total supply of the $SEI token is allocated for rewards for participation in the testnet.

Joining the Seinami Testnet is the only and best way to get familiar with the Sei Network before it launches. The project allowed validators, developers, and contributors to interact with the sei network by setting up nodes, and wallets, executing transactions, and voting on governance proposals.

You can get acquainted with the testnet stages and types of activities in the project documentation.

Sei Network Technologies and Differences

Sei is focusing on reliability, security, and high throughput, creating a whole new echelon of super-high-performance DeFi products built on top of this network. Sei’s central order book (CLOB) and data collection engine (Oracle) provides deep liquidity and price-time prioritization for traders and applications. Applications built on top of Sei benefit from a built-in order book infrastructure, high liquidity, and fully decentralized analysis service.

Users benefit from this exchange model with the ability to choose the price, size, and direction of their trades, combined with MEV (Maximum Retrievable Block Value) protection.

Smart contracts

Sei uses the wasmd module to make things easier for developers. Developers can use the Rust-based CosmWasm library to build decentralized applications. This gives developers many benefits:

CosmWasm is used in many blockchains. It is a very stable library with no bugs and an extensive ecosystem of developers.

CosmWasm was created to solve many of the development problems that other ecosystems face. Easier than Solana development and offers better security guarantees than Solidity.
